200 Yard Savage BTVS 22lr, CCI Stingers first attempt

Back again to day, light wind (4-6KM/hr from the west, slight hold to the right but good groups at 200. Just clays, no paper.

I never measured the snow imprints but i am guessing 8" groups. This is at 200 yards...

A little off topic, but many here might be interested: Is anyone finding reasonable accuracy with any high-velocity (hypersonic) 22LR velocity beyond 100m?

I'm curious because I've had great accuracy with Fiocchi HV at 100m. But I'm above 5000', so I wonder if they're possibly still supersonic at that range.

No problem hitting my "small" gong 100% at 185m with CCI Minimags, but I haven't tried checking paper groups with them at that range. That's next on my to-do list. :)

Pick the ammo that shoots the best groups at 50m, and 100m, not the ammo that shoots the flattest.

Try some CCI Standard Velocity and I bet you get better groups, mind you a bit more holdover may be necessary. ;)

My anschutz will shoot 3/4 inch at 100 with RWS Target ammo. I could also hit the turkeys at 385m regularly... Pretty cool to fire the shot then have enough time to look through the spotting scope to watch the impact...
