Some of them are pretty tough. last time i was out at the farm in Swift Current, I shot two of them in the head....blew their noses right off, but they were far from dead.....

It seems like sometimes you shoot an unusually bullet-resistant gopher. I ended up double-tapping a few using my 10/22 and Winchester 333 ammunition. I would say, however, that most of the gophers I shot this weekend dropped where they were shot, or at least didn't get far.
 
Is there still talk of a July shoot? If it happens it would be nice if we could hammer out a date early so we could get a good turnout :)

I got a couple people that want to tag along
 
18th and 19th is probably the only weekend that will work for me too. My wife works next 2 weekends in a row, and the airshow is the 25th, 26th...

So keep an eye out here and we will see what we can work out!!
