havent shot her yet, tomorrow, hopefully everything gels together nicely, when I was running the bolt it did feel pretty damn tight, but it could be all good, rounds were chambering and ejecting/extracting fine, bringing another bcg just in case it starts acting up on me, but it could just be the tight match noveske chamber. Reliable put it all together for me, I am expecting good things.

Nice choice in components. Looks like you need to treat that rig with a nice trigger group. :)

I had a stiff running BCG one time. Turns out the top/flat part of the cam pin was uneven width so one side was riding along the side of the upper receiver. I had to file down the longer side a hair before it cycled smooth as butter.
 
Went a couple of weekends ago to the range with 50 rounds of ammo loaded with IMR 3031 and Hornady 168 grain match bullets.
Norinco M14S with Springfield (SAI) medium weight take off barrel and Springfield (SAI) bolt, USGI gas system, original Norc Op Rod and Trigger assm.Bushnell 8-32 power scope. M14.CA casm mount and Blackfeather stock.
Both targets at 100 yards

First target was 1.220, 1.219, .813, .832, and 1.257. Average 1.068
Second target was 1.048, 1.083, 1.207, .904, and .819. Average 1.012.

it ran like a top with the spikes bcg, i guess i was making something of nothing, amazing group size with factory 55 grain, its sighted in, ill run it with vmax for rhe challenge, probably next friday.

Went out again this weekend to try the challenge, made 4 out of 5 groups under 1 inch so I'm getting there!!
1.139, .973, .664, .942, and .764. Average .896.

After many try at this challenge with this rifle, being MOA or sub MOA, i am posting this one as i finally succeded getting a 5/5 sub .75 MOA challenge success, if you notice i didnt miss the .5 MOA by much...

I will still try again to get a sub .5 MOA 5/5 challenge success...
Of all my 308 SA rifles i own, if one gonna break the sub .5 MOA, it will be one of my FNAR's...

I have been repeating this for a long while, this FNAR rifle is the sleeper rifle of the NR SA 308 rifles and for 2K or less......
