2016 CDTSA Multigun Matches **critical UPDATE Post 251 ** SEPT Match

Sadly I can't make it down. Hope you get the help you need. A couple guys from Medicine Hat made it up for the match and had nothing but good things to say about it.

Yes. We hope to see them again. Good bunch to shoot with. They placed very well too.

Well you're not much help. no advice, just cancel. At least they're still willing to try to keep it going with what they do have.
Who knows maybe with all this banter they've gotten more people, just shows how seriously close they are to not having a match this year, without any help.

Shibbs was heavily involved in making the last PRS match happen with Ryan. They both know how much work goes into making this stuff happen.

There has been a few more people volunteer thank god. I will see if I can get an update from clockwrkz and post it up here.

There should about five of us coming up from Medicine Hat. We appreciate you guys coming down to our matches and look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Low turnout for volunteers setting up matches is pretty much par for the course, regardless of club or shooting sport.
The only way to increase the amount of bodies willing to come out and volunteer is to build upon your core group involved in the sport.
Building on the core will take several years, not several matches.

Couldn't agree with you more.

Thanks so much for running this and everyone who helped setup n run it.

Just incase it's not in the car if anyone found a Beowulf mag with a horizontal notch cut out of the back its mine, please let me know!

Thanks to everyone who came out and participated at the last match and over the entire year. Our first year of matches at Milo and first year running 4 full stages. A lot changed and evolved to make this year better than ever with the increase of new steel targets (thanks exe team!), more competitors, and a new venue.

Thanks to every single shooter who helped patch, reset and score keep during the match and tear everything down at the end. From all accounts everyone worked hard and quickly and we got done in record time.

Special thanks to all those who did the drive out to help setup. Quite a few drove all the way down, worked hard to setup, drove home for the night and then back in the morning for the shoot. It's with this help and dedication that we'll keep building these matches bigger and bigger over time.

We're going to take some time over the winter to discuss options for next year. I know there are a lot of ideas on what we should/shouldn't do but everything has trade offs that we are balancing (not to mention our own personal lives). We'll continue to learn from other events, feedback, etc. There is never a shortage of ideas and advice. The biggest take away from this year is that to grow this sport we need to grow the community of people willing to help. Hopefully this year was the start of process and this carries over to next year.

P.S. please double check your beowulf mags for Nova's mag... he was a huge help during the day and a great ambassador of the sport and would really suck to go home a mag down.

Another excellent 3 gun match put on by CDTSA. The weather was great. I had great time making all sorts of mistakes. Thanks again everyone who helped put this on! (Once again, I forgot to turn my camera on for my first stage of the day. I did however get my buddy recorded)

I recorded all my stages this time. But one file is corrupt and play all the way through. It cuts out right when the timer stops.

Nice run BTW!

Battery died on my Contour so I got two of the stages, great to watch it like a first person movie.
This will be the first time I brought my Camera so hopefully I'll be able to run it next year with zero problems. Thinking I may bring my DSLR next year to grab some action shots as well.

I also searched high and low through my stuff for the beowulf, if anyone picked it up we finished on Range 3 (the one with the clay birds)
It has a clear horizontal notch at the back if the mag if you accidentally grabbed it.

Here is my video. Had a few hiccups but had a blast.

here is mine from the august match. things didn't go well for me. But I learned from it.

I feel for you Nova, hopefully it will get returned to you soon.

Hey ALL

SCORES ARE DONE AND HAVE BEEN EMAILED OUT!

They should also pop up on our website within the next couple days.

I want to be the first to congratulate AIRCAV for taking a solid first. Good shooting

Cheers!
