Thanks to everyone who came out and participated at the last match and over the entire year. Our first year of matches at Milo and first year running 4 full stages. A lot changed and evolved to make this year better than ever with the increase of new steel targets (thanks exe team!), more competitors, and a new venue.
Thanks to every single shooter who helped patch, reset and score keep during the match and tear everything down at the end. From all accounts everyone worked hard and quickly and we got done in record time.
Special thanks to all those who did the drive out to help setup. Quite a few drove all the way down, worked hard to setup, drove home for the night and then back in the morning for the shoot. It's with this help and dedication that we'll keep building these matches bigger and bigger over time.
We're going to take some time over the winter to discuss options for next year. I know there are a lot of ideas on what we should/shouldn't do but everything has trade offs that we are balancing (not to mention our own personal lives). We'll continue to learn from other events, feedback, etc. There is never a shortage of ideas and advice. The biggest take away from this year is that to grow this sport we need to grow the community of people willing to help. Hopefully this year was the start of process and this carries over to next year.
P.S. please double check your beowulf mags for Nova's mag... he was a huge help during the day and a great ambassador of the sport and would really suck to go home a mag down.
