I,m going back out tomorrow after church . My personal range , there is a clump of tree,s that blocks view from the road way and apparently the Sun also . standing and being on the ground in 19 below C in the shade temps , Nice . I could only muster some 8 ,s in hits on target .
BUT ... I did learn that .. 1) my sporter 1916 mark III star feeds cycles in this cold just a smoothly as in warmth of my house 2) other then loading and shooting , keep your gloves on all the time . 3 ) In this cold , carry your rifle upside down with 2 hands , when you go to check your targets . The barrel will warm the fingers of your gloves most awesomely .
On a side note , something I realized suddenly , whilst driving home . This contest is gonna run me outta 303 . I,m gonna have to start buying all 303 that I can see
( Edit note . I hope we all understand that was SNAP CAPS cycled in my house )
