It sure seems he was a little too nosey for his own good... You could leave the quills for the mount. I left the tree shrapnel stuck in the bases on mine. The skunk smell must definitely go!
 
Domestic cattle can't resist coming up to a porky to sniff and ending up with a beak full of quills.I trapped and had a beaver that got nailed too. My son shot a B+C cougar in the same shape...........Harold
 
Great to see some success!

2017 Draw Mule Deer! Crazy season so far, started with shooting a 49 inch bull moose for my Draw Moose tag and then got the Mulie. Still have a general Whitetail tag to fill and a week off work to do so at the end of the month!

My buck this year.

Not that she beats some of these beautiful bucks but my first deer. Many more to come I am sure. But happy enough to finally put something away in the freezer. Took it with the compound bow last month on the 13th.

No my 3rd! Just having a blast hunting with my mom! She started coming last year. Really fun way to bond. She also just let an 8 point go though haha. Little too far for her shooting capabilities... At least she isnt reckless but dam it was a nice one.
 
Nothing to brag about, but should make for good eating.
Hit this guy at about 140 paces.
For anyone wondering about the 6.8 SPC and it's capability on deer size game, a 85 grn TSX took out both lungs(second picture) and a good size piece of the liver. The animal went about 25 yards after being hit.
Absolute reliability from the XCR as well, if anyone is looking at this platform to hunt with.

I have 2 tags for either buck or doe. Some deer traviling my roads but i havent seen any yet while ive been in the woods, stupid day light savings time made it so i can hunt after work any more.

This is my second year hunting. I didnt get one last year but i do hope to this yead.
