. My idea of a perfect coyote gun is a .243/6mm. I think coyotes are very tough animals, so I like heavier bullets.
243/6mm for the added extra, one shot - one quick clean kill223 but only because ammo is easier to get down here. Both will work just fine

Thanks for the info .204 is pelt friendly and like you said when the hide don't matter then 300 wsm comes out for me.I have at least one of each of these, 223, 222, 22-250, 6mm Rem and 204. I take the 204 out for coyotes more than all of the others combined. I find the 204 way more fur friendly than the 223 and better range than the 222. If I don't care about saving a hide because it is not prime anymore the 6mm comes out of the safe.
Use what you have,or buy what you like.Always room for more.
