.22 Ammo Stash

I've only ever seen Winchester 555 and 333 at Walmart ...and not for a month now. Don't recall ever seeing anything else. CT has the Federal, but never seems to have the Winchester 555 or 333.

Last week I picked up a few boxes of Dynapoints at walmart. I've never seen the golden bullet packs there. Only seen those at Cabelas.

Just shy of 5000 rounds, although I would like to add a couple of thousand more. I only plink so I tend to buy in bulk and as cheap as possible.

I picked up 2100 federal champion in a metal ammo can from Cabelas in Barrie yesterday. $129.99. They've also got good stock of M22 and buckets of remi golden bullets.

$28.95 at Crappy tire in Kelowna and yes they have it in stock.I paid $25 for it in the spring at a local gun store but they have since been jacking the price and limiting it.

Interesting...when you look at their web site, they list 3 different types of boxes of 50's, none of what you found, and no bulk. Must be trying to keep internet sales down. I would still like to find a box or 2 of the M22. Have never tried this ammo. I'll keep looking locally.

The 2100 round ammo can is nice, but slightly higher cost per round at $0.0619/round.
If you discount the ammo can at $15, it's $114.99 for 2100, so $0.0548/round.

Canadian Tire has the same 525 Federal boxes for $28.99 get them to price match Cabelas for $25.99 and get $2.60 in CT money for your trouble.
I have bought 6 boxes from CT over the weekend all price matched to Cabelas.

I haven't fired any yet. Based on what I've read, it seems to work fairly well. Some semi-autos may not cycle well, others do fine. Anything a semi doesn't like will get used in the single-shot.
Sounds like typical bulk .22 to me.

Weigh a small amount, like one bulk pack still in cardboard. Weigh empty ammo can. Fill ammo can to brim and weigh again. Do math.
