Scorpio EM332X is currently on sale for $209.99 and by all accounts is a high quality copy of the Anschutz 54. The Chinese factory that builds the barrels uses cold hammer forging machinery imported from Austria. Get the 13" barrel version.
I would suggest the Scorpio EM332A with the 20" barrel is a better option if accuracy is of importance. They are both well made for sure and the 13" 332X is certainly handy and the bolt handle is a major upgrade, but mine would struggle to get better than 1" 5-shot groups at 50yds, even with decent ammo. The 20" would do much better, even with CCI standard. Being Chinese rifles, that may vary by example. But good suggestion.

TBH I was looking at the 20" barrel but as you mention the bolt on the 13" looks nicer. The main thing is the accuracy

20 will ballance better. I am working on a short JW15 right now, the scorpio is finished way better, but the deal they had on the JWs for $219 for the rifle and 1000 rounds of Aguila Standard, I could not walk awy from! (decent ammo, on par with CCI standard out of that rifle). Fun gun, but these require a lot of hours of fitting, polishing and farting around. Mags on the scorpio work way better.Cropped Rifle.jpg

No not Garry..... Jokes aside I am looking for a suggestion for a cheap .22 plinker for squirrels at the farm and yeah I know I can get a 10/22 but like I said inexpensive and IDC if it single shot.
Used is a waste of time seeing everyone and auction thinks .22 are worth f'in gold or more then new (Unless someone has one used in MB and wants to get rid of it cheap)?

Please let me know / post link if possible.

Thank you
Wait until the Dugald Gun show at the end of the month April 25 and the 26th should be able to to find something there

Isn’t the 10/22 known as the least accurate production semi 22lr that requires replacing almost everything on the gun to make them shoot good?
Trust me, it is better than most Turkish 22s you can get within the same price range. Mine shoot .45 MOA at 25 and 1.2 MOA at 50 yards. If you want a laser beam 22, you need to look at the bolt actions.
