Johnn.......I only have a button for 1-8 twist right now, it's a 5 groove original Ackley design, right from Ackley's drawings for the 23 cal. Buttons are not real pricey so other twists may be possible later. Right now I have 90 gn RBTs and 100 gn FB to work with and Marshal is correct about misting bullets with the big cases and sharp twists, my work with the 22-284 was misting 80 gn SMKs at 3700 about 30 mtrs out with a 1-8 twist. I'm thinking though that something in 105 -110 grn bonded bullet with .010 greater base dia running about 35-3600 should hold together, and I'm not sure 35-3600 is even possible with the 284/06 capacity cases, with these bullet weights. However if these ballistics are realistic then all I can say is the 243/6mm Rem just became obsolete..........
To all others out there please do not respond to Gatehouse, he's just trolling trying to get a pi$$ing contest going and get this thread locked down as well. So please let's not indulge him as there is still a long ways to go in this thread and with the 23 cal family in general.
