243 Improved, the 6mm Creedmoor

Didn't actually mention any of those cartridges, or anything about big game hunters replacing them. Most big game hunters really don't shoot that much, anyways.

Although it seems the US military actually IS replacing the 308 with the 65 creed, which will only further it's popularity.

I should have mentioned the 25-06 with the others to make my inference clearer.

Agreed on your 2nd point.

Checked zero and rung some steel yesterday with the 6mm Creed, using factory 103gr ELDx ammo (3125 fps MV)

It's on, 422 yards and 642

Laid prone over a bag and result was the same, just not as centered on the plate.

105gr Hornady Amax shooting well with RL16 and RL23, average group at 200 yards was 0.5moa (3017 fps for '16, 3024 fps for '23) - ready for winter predators

That's a shame, I really thought that rig would shoot better...

(Just kidding, nice groups, good to see your out using it despite the weather!)

Settled on my 95gr Barnes LRX load :d 45.5grs RL26, Federal brass, F210M primer. Does 3130 fps and shoots MOA or less, sometimes much less

Took the time to dial in the 6mm today. It's shooting well, here's a 9 shot group at 426 yards with the 105gr Hornady Amax over RL23 (3025 fps). Next shot is going into fur!
