I'm torn between a 30-06 and a .270 win right now. I hope to use my rifle for deer, caribou and bear. I know in Ontario you can't use 30-06 in certain areas so I am looking into this now.

Unless you find a 175gr 270 bullet, it is not legal for buffalo here in BC. Is there a heavy 270 hunting bullet?
It sounds like the 270 is a great round for a canadian hunter. Grizzly seems to be the only animal on that list that is up for discussion.
And since the other hunting caliber you are debating wouldn't do anything different to a grizzly you have your answer!![]()
The poll pretty much reflects my votes with two exceptions. Why do the elk and blackie guys seem to shy away from the .270?
