Agree, the Accubond would be another great quality bullet for elk. Two autumns ago I was on a track of a 180 B&C whitetail buck, hunting with my 270 Win., 130 gr. Accubond. Seven bull elk crossed my path and hammered this guy, DRT.

I've run the partition as well as the Accubond and they are good bullets.
Don't rule out the heavier weight Ballistic tips though.
Tons of internet ink spilled on bullet choices but I've found the heavy for caliber BT's work just as well in real life. They sport a heavy sealed copper base and a tapered jacket that holds together well in all instances I've seen.
If I feel the need for something tougher I'll ramp up to TTSX Barnes. I've had really good results with those in the 280 and 280 AI.

Anyway, silliness aside, penetration tests on a 130 grain ttsx passing through pork shoulder bone and then meat packed behind, have it penetrating 18-19”. That’s plenty!

Yes this is a Portugal assembled Model 70 with AAA French walnut.
It's a shot show special where I'll venture a guess that Winchester used some of the JOC edition stocks on a run of Super Grades.
I picked it up from Clay at Prophet River.
Goes without saying I love my M70's and I'm a total pushover for high grade wood.
I grabbed this one of the 3 offered but there's 2 other 270's that are right there with really incredible wood.

If you want to depute the difference between .257 and .277 feel free.
I've shot game with the 257 Roberts/ 25-06/The 257 Bee and a whole lot more with the ole .270 and they all work just fine.
The 270 Weatherby is touted by many, far more educated than I, as the best of the Weatherby rounds.
Might well be, but I have never owned or shot one.
Back to the original post put a .270 in the right spot and you have your elk.
Put a 458 or a 338 wrong and you are tracking...and good luck.
