At the risk of ruining any resale on my MK18
I am posting this thread to display what I think is one damn well build rifle. For the last year and a half I have been feeding this rifle a steady diet of 400-600 rounds every week shot all in the same range trip, rounds were fired in succession in strings of 120 rounds then reload and continue. For all you froglube haters this rifle has been properly frog lubed since day one. At times the gas tube has been glowing, I burned the finger on a glove clean through on the flash hider accidentally once as well. The rifle was cleaned every 1000 or so rounds, had 4-5 stoppages in all these rounds, one was a double feed from a worn out mag, one was a light primer strike due to a dirty fireing pin channel, two were a failure to go into battery fully due to a dirty chamber. I changed the buffer spring at around 15,000-20,000 rounds (ejection was working its way rearward) gas rings and everything else is original (gas rings will likely be replaced shortly). It has worn an Allen gun works linear brake since new (just installed a Lantec dragon prior to the pics), raptor charging handle, and an aimpoint pro. Her are some pics (I really need to change the aquarium bulb in my bench light, sorry about the blue tint).
