In hindsight, the 9.3X62 or .35 Whelen would have sufficed as a better big brother rather than the big uncle (read true king)
Maybe a fullstock 9.3 or .35 is in my future ...
Does everyone in the North need a 9.3? Why Not!![]()
Paul we all know you want and need a 9.3x62 ... you cannot have only the copycat of the 9.3x62 ... no way we can have you in the Yukon with a 35 whelen ...
if you are in the north and do not have a .366 Wagner you are not really in the north and still a cheekako ...
You cut me hard.

7mm rem mag
I think the OP was talking about another X bolt. If he is, then some of the pretty much reloader only calibers would likely not be available? 9.3x62, 350 mag, 35 Whelen.
If he is wanting to go smaller, invest in a better scope for the 6.5x55. If he wants larger then probably 338wm or 375 H&H in the Xbolt.
A good economical larger bore as a loaner or minimal Grizzly/Bison might be a Tradex Husky in 9.3x62.
Personally if it was me, a Xbolt in H&H.
Waiting for pictures on two nice Husky M98.
Would go along nicely with the M96 6.5mm in the safe.
Updates to come soon![]()

9.3 then? Good choice ...
Sad news... Didn't win any draws this year.
Good news I got this on the way :

I'll probably use a set of Weaver Grand Slam rings on it. Anyone know a seller that stocks steel weaver bases ?
