338 Lapua Magnum at 2 miles (3561 yards)

But can he do a 720 no scope?

All joking aside that is seriously impressive shooting. I don't think I have ever witnessed that long a travel time.

Soon be stretching the legs of my 338. Just waiting for a powder measure. That is some cool shooting. The 7 to 9 second delay is incredible.

What I really enjoyed about the video was the very good calls the spotter was making. Bang on and that helped the shooter dial in the target quickly. For Extreme range shooting, a spotter is one of the most important ingredients to success.

Wonder what spotting scope she was using? She could obviously see the impacts which would be hard with most optics in that mirage.

At any range shooting the spotter is an essential ingredient to success.

That was quite impressive, and he did seem to have the right equipment. The spotting scope looked like you could use it for star gazing.

If I lived in Alberta I would try this weekly. We don't even have that much range in Pet!

Forget about AB... Think Beattle Kill.... Logging has cleared massive hunks of real estate through central BC and the OK valley. Forget about yards... think miles.

I took a drive last fall to see what was logged around me... couldn't recognise alot of the country I used to hunt in. Not sure if Google Earth will show the patches but it is stunning.

At these type of distances, I would just set up wireless cameras and use a TV screen to view the shooting. I think any type of optical spotter is going to be challenged to see precisely in mirage at those types of distances. I am sure with enough money, optics or better.. telescopes can be used.

2350 yds (GPS ranged) was far enough for me...
