Hey CGN, Theres a WAGNER in me SAFE!!!!

Chuten 255 Geco SP...... spits em straight, the Zeiss is great.... 3.3kg all up, Steel Leupold Rings.... Limbsaver Pad.... not Ultra light but a good KG lighter than my Whelen!!!

Right on WL! Excellent cartridge choice, what rifle did you end up with?

I just got a few 8x57 necked up to 9.3x57 yesterday, going to get out early next week and break in the "new-to-me" Husqauvarna. I've only got the Speer 270gr Hot-cor and some Lapua 285gr MEGA bullets to try out, so my trajectory will be rather arched! Still, can't wait to get out into the bush with this rifle!

Something just very, very cool about the .366's.

oh nice one, that aught to serve you well over there! something about medium speeds and big holes eh!

I went with a Tikka, a secondhand firearm from I'm guessing a NEWBIE.... he didn't like the Recoil- so it wears a limbsaver cushion, is a Blued model and so is all Blacked out!!

The initial bore clean with patches was Classic!!! I sent the previous owner a photo and said- how did the rifle shoot for you with all this #### in the barrel?
he seemed to think it shouldn't be dirty as it hadn't been used in a while...... once he seen the photo "####, I must need a new brush"............. so id be surprised if its seen a patch down the barrel before!
minimal brass on the magazine, which they are known for once used a bit... no markings on bolt face... cases come out straight az....... I got a real Deal.

$1000 AU for the rifle, complete with Limbsaver $100- leupold rings $100 and a Zeiss Terra x40 $400+..... doing that math the Rifle cost me $400 :D :D

seems like it should perform pretty well in low light too!

I still have Lil Wheels (my son) on holidays so no Sambar are guna be feeling the brunt just yet, however ill be sure to post up.

While I enjoyed the others, I am thinking the current one is here to stay..... I had been seeking one out for a while and it came from the esteemed hoytcanon collection.......

It's a pretty rare Ruger M77 RS carbine in .358 win...... I have shot it at the range and haven't hunted it yet, but it's super light, handy and fits me like a glove.....

You got that right, it was said about the .375 H&H that you can eat right up to the hole. I had my doubts, of course, but it proved right. No bloodshot damage at all, compared to the multiple moose shot with .308, .30-06 and .300 WM. You did well. :) I might have to get a Wagner myself one day, just because.
 
Nice rifle brad, how long is the barrel?

Wanting a .358 with a shorter barrel myself for some reason, this board is so dangerous for the wallet...

That is one fine rifle!!

I recently had an old 700ADL 243 rebarreled with a 20" M600 bbl in 308. While not even close to the cool yours has, it does handle very well as well and will be a favourite on the ATV and while out skulking around in the eastern woods. That sweet 358 would only be better. 200s for deer and 250s for da moose.

But if I used it on deer then I would have no reason to own a 257 Roberts...... lol
