**.375 Bullet Test Results**(lots of pics!)

What was the velocity (estimated) of the 235 speers? If you can share what powder/brass/primer combination you used that would be swell!!

No idea. I think I used the starting load for whatever powder I used at the time. My goal was to simply replicate 100 yard impact. Didn't care about best velocity or accuracy.

Shot 250 ttsx with 78 rl 15 out of a 375 ruger 23" barrel at 2920 fps. Pretty decent bc on this bullet. Rifle groups them better at 77 gr and 2900.

You’re welcome. The 6.5 bullet test has also been reposted. It’s a sticky in the Handloading section.

Steve,

do you know which 270 grains Hornady reference you used?

i have two different kinds #3710 and 3711.

the first older one as a longer point #3710 but other than that is there any differences between the two?

The box says 3711. I also have a few hundred more that I bough from a fellow CGN’er in bulk, they look identical to the ones from the box. Could you post a pic of the difference between the 3710 and 3711?

i will later Steve, but if the 3711 are doing the results you had wow ...

Phil

3710 is the old version loaded and you can see the point, the 3711 is the lonely bullet not loaded and the actual version.

It would be nice to see Hornady step up the GMX to 270 grains or so - and another thing they should consider is their Interbond in a similar weight. The Interbonds I have used in other calibers have been fantastic bullets. Can't complain with the 270 grain Interlocks though.

A 270gr GMX would be a pretty long bullet. The 250gr is already the longest bullet in this group.
