if i remember it worked greatly on one of those little tiny mountain caribou lol ...

Phil, There were a couple of small herds of Woodland Caribou close to where I lived years ago in the B.C. central. I recall seeing a few on a couple of occasions but I've never hunted them.

bcsteve,:eek: are you telling me I didn't go big enough???

Hey, Johnn
Will you ever rent a table and sell your collections at Nanaimo gun show? :)

Well, the day when I 'may' start to trim things down a little probably isn't too far off, but not yet, The last show I was at in Naniamo, I picked this up.

At gun shows, I tend to;) more 'accumulate' rather than sell.

Years ago I used to shoot handgun at the Naniamo club, every Monday night but that was a while ago.

I'm feeling so sorry for you guys having to deal with the snow.

Here in BC's Fraser Valley it is the second warmest spring in history only time it was warmer was in 1958 the year my Husqvarna in 270 Wby was built.

and to stay on topic I was at the gun club shooting my 22" barreled T/C Prohunter in 375H&H with 250gr TTSX yesterday I've never gotten the accuracy I like with this bullet so tried some 300gr loads oh yeah going to stick with them from now on.

:(I've expressed similar sentiments to CGNers on the east coast, and as a comparison shared info on weather details here on the 'Wet Coast'. I think SuperCub had to contend with 6' + of snow just to post the newest member to my harem.
Any chance I could get you to share or PM me some of your 300gr load info for the 375 H&H? I haven't shot mine all that much yet but a short while ago, I picked up some 300gr. FBRN Bonded bullets from Matrix that are on the list to 'try out'.;) May quite likely end up using them in the 375CT as well when it arrives.

Hey Johnn, I use a little lighter bullet in my 375s for NA and general game in Africa. I have a load worked up with 270gn TSX in my 700 that is less than MOA and devastating on game. It also shoots flatter than a 180 gn 30-06 so I get 400 mtr capability as well. I have used this load for everything from Duiker to Hippo and it works !!! In my newly stocked Sako Safari I am working with 270 gn A-frames cause 270 gns is more than adequate for ANYTHING NA has to offer and you get the 3-400 mtr capability as well, truly makes a very effective all around cartridge.
In my 375 Wby I'm working with 285 gn Matrix BBT for the same trajectories and even more oomf at the critter end. 300s plus are reserved for my 378 Wby where they can still be pushed to 400 mtr capability. Then I had Marshal make me some 325 semi spitzer RBT bonded for "up close and personal" with them coastal bears I'm going to mess with next year.

Thanks for the info Douglas. Appreciate that. On my next 'shopping trip' to the;) 'Candy' stores in Naniamo, Cabela's and/or WSS, I plan to pick up some Barnes 270gr TSX. Weather, locally, is looking like great range time opportunities:). Time to start burning powder through some of my recent winter time 'acquisitions'. Any chance you could post, PM or e-mail me your load info? Something I could work up to in my H&H???
Unless I do well on an upcoming LOTTO 649, my use of either of my 375's will be NA only.

The weather is so nice and warm here today I just couldn't work anymore so called a to nice to work day = sent the guys home then packed up and raced home myself.

I'm now loading my Kawi KLX250S dual sport motorcycle onto the trailer instead of just riding from home because I want to explore a bit further up the valley going to look for bear sign and need to get there quicker.

Taking my 14" Contender carbine in 375JDJ loaded with 235gr Claw bonded bullets .
