375 H&H is my choice
I'm feeling so sorry for you guys having to deal with the snow.
Here in BC's Fraser Valley it is the second warmest spring in history only time it was warmer was in 1958 the year my Husqvarna in 270 Wby was built.
and to stay on topic I was at the gun club shooting my 22" barreled T/C Prohunter in 375H&H with 250gr TTSX yesterday I've never gotten the accuracy I like with this bullet so tried some 300gr loads oh yeah going to stick with them from now on.
Hey Johnn, I use a little lighter bullet in my 375s for NA and general game in Africa. I have a load worked up with 270gn TSX in my 700 that is less than MOA and devastating on game. It also shoots flatter than a 180 gn 30-06 so I get 400 mtr capability as well. I have used this load for everything from Duiker to Hippo and it works !!! In my newly stocked Sako Safari I am working with 270 gn A-frames cause 270 gns is more than adequate for ANYTHING NA has to offer and you get the 3-400 mtr capability as well, truly makes a very effective all around cartridge.
In my 375 Wby I'm working with 285 gn Matrix BBT for the same trajectories and even more oomf at the critter end. 300s plus are reserved for my 378 Wby where they can still be pushed to 400 mtr capability. Then I had Marshal make me some 325 semi spitzer RBT bonded for "up close and personal" with them coastal bears I'm going to mess with next year.
Yup, we got out but had to cut the trip short because of high wind and the tide changing. Looks like another trip in the future. No ####ing way you got off shore today. We got 6" which means you guys are up to your knees.
So far this winter we've had 4.46 meters of snow here in Saint John. That 14.63 feet of snow so far this winter and there was hardly any on the ground 1/2 way through Jan.I'm feeling so sorry for you guys having to deal with the snow.
