375 Ruger

You guys are funny,Mark started the thread and no doubt finish it and his sidekick Gatehouse has managed to get some of the participants to take the bait and firmly step on the pan of the trap, the good thing other than the humor is there is some interesting information on guns ,calibers and history, keep it up.
What do you guys think of Trump

Like I've said in another .375 Ruger thread (or maybe it was this one?), the .375 Ruger is not only a great hunting cartridge, it's also a phenomenal fishing lure!:dancingbanana:

Well, bear season is upon us, who is going to chase bears with a NEW KING in hand?

I've shot several bears with the NEW KING. Here is the first one, from October 2007. Almost 10 years ago now!

I've got the pieces together but it's unlikely to be put together for bear season. Looking forward to shooting it this summer.

I've killed black bears with the .223 up to the .375 Ruger and everything in between, including some shotguns. So you might be a bit overgunned, but overgun can be pretty fun! :)

still using the 260 grains accubond if i remember properly your story? ...

Has anyone on here built a 375 Ruger on a push feed model 70? I just picked up a Winlite in 7 rem mag and it seems like a good candidate for a 375 build. Not that it isn't fine the way it is, I just want a 375.

Our neighbor has a savage 116 stainless alaskan brush hunter in 375 ruger that weighs a little over 71/2 pounds with iron sights.
Paw tried it and advised me not to. I took his advice.

The push feed winchesters have a narrow mag box. The 375ruger case is wide. I'm not sure it wouldn't work but some dummy cases might show an issue. Or not. Here are a few pics of the 375 ruger case in a m70 mag box and a ruger mk2 mag box which is wider.

Ahhh I'll have to try and find some dummy rounds. Thanks Buckmastr
