375 Ruger

Very nice! Welcome to the club. Are you going to leave it shiny or beadblast it? It looks just like my custom .35 Whelen when it came back. I found it was too shiny and had it beadblasted. Although it looks sharp with the wooden stock.

Got my hands on some of the new 270gr LRX. It's nice to have more options for the king

I shared some KING success this fall with a good friend, his first bull elk. He smashed it in the timber with 270gr Interlock

LONG LIVE THE KING!!! :dancingbanana:

Nice elk! Congrats.
All smiles from that young fella. Must not have had far to pack. Young guys, leave the bones in too! Never mind the hooves...

LONG LIVE THE KING!!! :dancingbanana:

How did the Hornady 270 gr IL perform? They did great in my newspaper test but those old Yukon guys:p did not have good results with the 286gr IL out of their 9.3’s.

I have a few hundreds of the 270gr IL that I reload for practice but maybe I should try them on game.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the NEW KING, Barnes had been selling an extraordinary amount of .375 caliber bullets, and they responded by adding another option to their line up. Once again demonstrating that Barnes has always been a forward thinking company.

Steve the old 270 grains for .375 are not to be compared with the milk jugs tested that we did for the weak 9.3 hornady ...

in all honesty Gatehouse i do not think the rifle in 375 ruger made the success by the caliber only.

i think this is mostly the platform and the very good price (at least at the beginning).

and for a lefty getting a laminated stock in a stainless barreled action was a dream ... Ruger did it and did well.

the open sights also are great.

some of you needed to add a synthetic stock to yours and im still thinking the laminated was the answer but there is a cost for that: the weight ...

anyway hope all of you will use the 375 ruger in the good way for this coming year.

Phil

one thing is certain, owners of the new King of 375's actually use their rifles. I think Slamfire was the only guy on CGN who took a 375 H*H hunting in 2017?
