Some of you have seen the thread I started about my 3d printed little badger parts (here)
So I decided to try my hand at making a chassis for my Henry Arms AR-7 survival rifle.
This is the prototype phase, and there are some fitment issues, but I will make some modifications on the subsequent versions until I have a final product.
This thing is very light weight, and comfortable to hold.
Here are the pictures:
From here on in is the first version.
In this picture you can see some of the fitment issues around the trigger guard, I will be making the modifications to fix it over time.
Also I have to sand the side a bit to smooth it over and remove the "shadowing" on the lettering.
Everthing is held together with wood screws, since my printer can only do 8"x8" print size, but everything is held together quite strong.
The stock is supposed to be collapsable, but I am going to re-design it to be fixed. It is too tight of tolerances right now so it doesn't move freely.
Here is the rifle beside the little badger. I will likely redesign the stock to be skeletonized just like the little badger.
And of course why not print it with my username right into it.... after this much work I will not be selling this version.

What do you guys think? What else would be a good rifle to tinker with?
