You seem to think it makes no difference whether the moose were shot by licensed hunters or unlicensed Indians.
This thread is nothing more than a vent for us legal, law abiding, respectful and tell taught hunters.
Sad, sad and shot in the gut feeling for all of us who have witnessed, and heard of the past and ongoing abuse of the indian (NATIVE ABORIGINAL) rights on a country which was once resource rich.
The walleye are caught by the thousands in indian nets and ROT in in those nets cause they are not sober enough to bring them in......recent fish n wildlife laws aks - the Canadian Government made it legal for indians to catch all they want.
Tax paying non treaty (non white card white people) in Alberta can catch one walleye. Indians can catch all they want, legally. Indians can and do shoot all the moose and all the elk they want, morning, noon and night, and they do at night, from couches in the back of their pick ups with spot lights, and a case of booze,....
they shoot white tail deer and feed it to their dogs. I have seen them shoot a cow moose and two calf's and take the hinds only, leaving the rest to rot. Powerless because our canadian game laws approve and allow this.
I know too many who hunt and kill to sell meat...
and our Fish & Wildlife officers will not even answer a complaint call....
I live in the north of Alberta.
I watch and hear the abuse of our food and every resources their lawyers (which our tax dollars paid for) rape us for...
Watch them **uck us for the rest of the petroleum resource, pipeline etc,
It is a Native playground. And our govt is bent over and waiting, greased.
Plain and simple.
Eats me everyday.
THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT SPENDS WASTES....WASTES..WASTES MORE MONEY ON INDIANS ANNUALLY THAN OUR MILITARY...BILLIONS GIVEN TO THOSE WHO CONTRIBUTE NOTHING....AND THE INDIANS DONT PAY CARBON TAX......!!!!!
THINK ABOUT THAT.
YOUR TAX DOLLARS....
i am not under any circumstances disagreeing with you
i am going to throw this out there

I'm not sure where you live, but here in MB there is no limit on suckers for anyone, all you need is a fishing license.
In regard to the 5 elk calves and 7 moose, that would be considered poaching as it's illegal, and he would get fined and convicted if caught. Did you consider reporting him? You should. DNR would get a search warrant for his freezers and it would be game over.
................. Or unlicensed indians.
EXACTLY........ .... lashing out at members that are not a part of your ethnic group, when they are not the problem............

Very true, as long as we keep in mind that these bigots and racists also come in all colors and ethnicities.
Crazy stuff, I must have been at work the day they were giving out quads and rifles.
I fully agree that it isn't working, and that something needs to change. The problem with most of it, is how the Indian Act is structured, and how the money is distributed to the bands. There are few, reaping the rewards on the backs of many. Most would get access to better programs off reservation, and would do better in the "public" or "white" system. unfortunately, there isn't much equality even amongst natives themselves. The money spent on the Indian Act annually is staggering, and if abolished, there would be significant savings for all Canadians, and better programs available to those that need them the most. I find it very sad that we will give refugees better treatment and programs than the Native population gives their own, but also understand the restrictions under the Indian Act. The rich get richer, and rest don't get much, depending on the band, of course.
R.
The difference is that those people would be prosecuted for those offenses, while it would be totally legal for natives to do those things.
Why wouldn't it be legal? It's tradition and part of their cultural heritage...things we need to change.
