.50 Beowulf 3rd Party Magazines

I know quite a few people have been disappointed that they haven’t been able to purchase Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf magazines. We tried to bring in as many as possible and keep the price reasonable, but the reality of the US market has left us with unflexible high prices and some serious brokerage fees. So, we’d like to show off some pictures that should brighten up everyone’s day. These pictures were taken at the factory today and represent over 5 months of hard work and cooperation between E-Lander and Northern Republic Magazine.

Unfortunately, there’s still more work to do. When this magazine arrives in Canada (next week) it will need to be sent off to the RCMP for their final nod of approval before DFAIT will issue our massive import permit. Let's all hope the review process is a swift one!

From what I've seen on YouTube, this company uses anti tilt followers, apparently there's some release and seating issues, but it can easily be fixed by filing down the seating notch a tad. I'm in for a few if the price is right. A lot of money is to be had for you guys if the price is reasonable and you can get a bunch of them in.

The pricing is still being negotiated, we'll update everyone with this as soon as it's finalized. It will be competitive.

All those historic issues with E-Lander magazines that some people have noted were because the original 5.56mm mags that were available in the US were made exactly to spec. However, many rifles are not made to spec. Magpul went through this same problem with their first Pmag. Regardless, the issue has been corrected at E-Lander and these mags should drop free in any lower.

Note that these mags are not made during the same run as the 5.56mm magazines, E-Lander has to do a separate run just for .50 Beowulf mags. The specs are not the same between .50 Beowulf and 5.56mm mags.

The followers will be standard E-Lander anti-tilt followers in white.

True.

Who cares if they "work" with beowulf or not, all we care about is 5.56! Please have them design it to work better with 5.56 as supposed to .50. I'm guessing they'll sell much much more that way.

At the end of the day, who gives a damn about .50? Lol?

Because if they don't work with 50 Beowulf, do you really think the RCMP will approve them? If you design them to be 5.56 mags, they will be pinned to 5 rounds of 5.56.

Don't cut corners with this. No need to make bigger issues.

Good point. But is it true that RCMP really cares about reliability of products? I'm saying as long as they "work" with .50 Beowulf cartridges, it's all good? Even if it happens to work better with 5.56 doesn't change it's original intent of designing it for .50 Beowulf. But just that more 5.56mm users will be buying them because they're fit their uses IMHO, is a good motivation of making it work reliably with 5.56.

The key is "designed to work better with 5.56"

If it is designed to be a 5.56 mag, from inception and manufacture, then you've made a 5.56 mag. And thus will be required likely to be pinned to 5 5.56.

Think of mags made in .22 for rifle and pistols that have been banned.

Its not difficult, make it for 50 Beowulf. If it just happens to work with 5.56 then lucky us.
