Here we go again....TAKE TWO....
I received the replacement 597 from the Canadian Distributor on Friday.
I just got back from the range with it. Right out of the box.
It was cold, windy and raining, but I had to try it out.
Ammo used was Winchester Xpert, Remington cyclone, Yellow Jackets, Blazer.
I put a cheap NcStar 4x30 scope on it, and did a really quick sight in with four rounds onto another target.
I mixed the ammo up randomly in a larger box, and used both a 30 round and the 10 round magazine.
I had two FTF...and two FTE, one each from the Blazer ammo, and the Xpert ammo.
Other than not sighting the scope in very well, and the miserable weather conditions,
I am betting the group will tighten up when the scope is dialed in properly, and if it was bench rested too.
The upside is, everything worked according to plan....Nothing to complain about at all.
Tomorrow I will dial in the scope more accurately , bench rest it and re group for 100M.
