6.5 Needmoor ~ Federal +Peak

Because they are a Great QUALITY RIFLE at an affordable price ! Pretty simple Chuck 😀👍

I have a Tikka CTR .223 bedded in a Mac stock that shoots tiny groups at 1000 yards. It's a great rifle for that purpose.

But I use Winchester Mdl 70's and Ruger 77's to hunt with, because hunting is more fun when you have a cool CRF rifle ;)

From my perspective this ammo is to prevent you from burning the barrel out while keeping magnum performance. Use regular ammo for the range and peak ammo for sighting in and hunting.

Only 50% disagree. Yes I think it is practical to use standard ammo for practice. But if you want to hunt, you need to zero your rifle using the same ammo you are going to shoot at an animal

RJ and I are in our late 60's, combined, at least 135 years of experience.........................but you da man, Chuck, Mr. Superority.
What does old age have to do with it? I still remember you behind the counter at Russel Sports. I drove into the city in my very early 20’s to look at rifles. I was looking at a certain rifle and said I was looking to build a custom rifle and was considering a wildcat. You essentially called me stupid. Told me I’d blow myself up. That I needed to learn a thing or two.

Well, I’ve killed a lot of game with a “wildcat”. In fact I burned the barrel out on that hunting rifle.

Some things never change.
