600-800m Semi Auto...whats out there

Arms Tech Limited in Phoenix, Arizona did a lot of work with the CIA and US SF in the 90s and likely still have some of their long range work around Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

They make a BAR in 300 Win Mag. and guarantee .05 or better. It's called a Super Match Interdiction Rifle.

Dr Joe Rustick 623-936-1510 i believe.....

0.05? or 0.5?

I'd like to hear more about the fnar from people that own them. If the ar15 gets a nr badge soon, I'd look into the dd mk12 and Les Baer super varmint, but they are a little over your price range.

What's always amazing is how hard it is to get a consistent sub MOA auto. Of course we all understand the difficulties involved but that never seems to stop us. Personally in this chase for sub MOA semi happiness I've owned LMT AR , SL8, Swiss Arms ( disappointing actually ), SAI NM and LRB M25 - in total that's (rough math) some $13-14 K and while all could do it occasionally it was sure hard to make it a consistent achievement with only the last - and most expensive - the LRB really doing it on a regular basis. Now pick up a bog standard Remington SPS and feed it some FGMM and voila you are in the world of sub MOA - but, being who we are we then seek sub half moa and away we go again down the path of big expenditure LOL.

This is a very recent build. And that is a group shot at 400 yds this last summer before the addition of the Nightforce scope, there was a Vortex 2.5-10 on the rifle. The top (flyer) was 1st round, the cluster below it are shots # 2,3, and 4.
It is not under 2k, and it is restricted. I have tried all the alternatives mentioned, and unmentioned, and this is the first rifle to achieve this kind of repeatable accuracy. I have always dreamed of owning a KAC SR-25, but $$$ is the problem.
This rifle cost me $4900 all in. I may yet change the grip, and I have some KAC rail covers coming (the only thing from KAC that I can afford lol).
I love a challenge as much as the next person, however, what you are asking may not be possible. It does not change the fact that it is a fascinating intellectual pursuit that will be fun trying.

Around 9000$, but you can forget it, as they will not export (not even components, but are quite friendly to talk to and bounce ideas around with).

Try the 14 again, but with an 18" barrel, and use a smaller optic. My norinco POS dose 600 easy, even using the factory stock.

LMAO on the Dragunov holding MOA out to 800m like the OP asked for.
Laugh2

No such an animal besides a heavy barrel .308 AR and even then, consistent moa to 800m.....maybe...maybe.

I think it could come close withe the right scope, shooter and load developed. Most people shoot the dragunov as it was issued 4x scope and russian surplus ammo. But using an S&B scope with high mag (or comparable), the Dragunov and handloads or the Horandy Match ammo, with proper resting I think it would be close. Possibly an even better chance if a heavier barrel was installed on the dragunov.

I've fired it, it Is what it is - an early concept of a DMR rifle. It was never meant to be a precision weapon as outlined by western standards. It was meant to provide quick effective aimed fire past the range of regular infantrymen.

Maybe a truly great shooter could pull it off after a few tries, anything is possible. But that is not consistency. A purpose built for that task AR is as close as it is going to get as far as gas guns are concerned.

Either way it is moot for us back here in Canuckistan since it is verboten.
