64th ANNUAL VICTORIA DAY MATCHES

I have thought about after reading your question.

Mentally pack Confidence, Modesty, and humble pie.
Be confident in your ability
Be modest when you come off the line with a good score.
And when things don't go as planned be humble and DON'T give up. There WILL be times when you think you shouldn't be holding a rifle, it happens it is only one relay and you need to focus on the next relay.

Clothes, pack for two seasons a typical May long weekend (shirts shorts running shoes) and early spring, (Boots, gloves, warm jacket, toque) RAIN GEAR, and something to cover your rifle when it rains.

flip flops for the shower area

A LOCK for your room if staying in the barracks (combination lock) is preferred if sharing a room

When i stay at the barracks i bring a camping air mattress for extra cushioning on the barrack beds.

Good luck

Trevor

Cameron,
Sounds like you got things covered.
May want to add bug repellant, rain cover for kit (something to keep rain out of your chamber and off your ammo, some use a small towel) and something to keep your scorecard/plotsheets in to stay dry (clear plastic zip lock large enough to put material in and still be able to reach in and plot.
Lens cleaning cloth (in case they get wet)
Pencil/write in the rain pen/grease stick pencil.
and if you have room......
A Llama saddle,2 left handed screw drivers,a Hawaiian shirt and a copy of Catcher in the Rye(soft cover) one hard boiled egg and a small marine boat anchor.:)

Just remember Norm, that all I have to do is confess that you seemed to have stopped breathing and I was trying to perform a tracheotomy to save your life when my hand slipped............
FWIW- Norm uses his snoring as a tactical edge on competitors.By the 3rd day without sleep ,we get a little crazy.
This time I'll pack crazy glue. Never heard a person snore with their lips glued shut :)

Gord I suggest if bunking with Norm . Just offer to tuck him in, blow in his ear and tell him you will be thinking of him .
I guarantee he won`t sleep a wink . :)

40% chance of rain Sunday, 80% chance on Monday. Why do I let those guys talk me into these things?
Rain gear-check
Goretex boots-check
Umbrella-check
Rain writer-check

dont worry about paul i will take care of him lol...:D
Looks like you did. ;)
Congrats on winning the the F/TR agg and also to Des Vamplew for winning the TR agg. Forgive me for not remembering who won the F-Open, but Norm Barber took second.

I had a great time putting faces to all the CGN's and new/old shooters since my 10yr hiatus. Those were some challenging wind conditions at 900 meters Monday. One shot required a 15 min wind change to score a Bull and then switch back to 7 min. Haven't shot .308 @ Connaught in probably 20yrs and so I need to learn wind reading again or just get my 6.5 barrel screwed on.

To all that made it [and that includes you mpwolf] I salute you!

it was barry price who won the fo class to beat the infamous mongoose norm barber.
it was very tricky day today but you have got to love it.their was some very fine shooters their this weekend hope you can make it to the eastern champion ships this should be one heck of a match.
i am not worryed about you jp after taking a 10 year break you sure did bounce pack quite well it was a pleasure shooting with you this weekend. to all
