7.62mm DCRA LE No4 conversion thread

If I recall, the rifle had a sterling magazine but not all of “bits” of the complete sterling conversion kit.

Not an issue. Glad you were able to obtain it.

Thanks! I haven't yet taken it to the range, but I'm looking forward to trying it out!

I take it the other Sterling bits were the barrel, extractor, special ejector and charger guide adapter? I don't know the make of extractor, but it's definitely got a CAL barrel. Definitely doesn't have the special ejector or guide adapter.

Superbee, you beat me and Stencollector to it! Thanks for the info, btw. :)

I just bought this rifle, 1101 and I'm trying to get all the info I can on it.

Does anyone have an idea what the serial number was of the last Faz No4 Mk2? This one is UF.55 A34567 so it has to be near the end, I would guess.

The info I don’t know but congrats. Mk2’s aren’t common in The DCRA conversions. Pics would be great when you get it.

Does it have the DCRA stamp? Just because it is in the US does mean it was built there. Fulton at Bisley is stamped REGULATED BY FULTON. I also have a Faz #4 MK 2 I will look at the original serial.

Yes, it is stamped with the Crowfoot/Maple leaf on the receiver and bolt handle along with the Faz and DCRA serial numbers. It is also stamped "Regulated by Fulton" on the receiver. I'm trying to post pics, but can't. I paid for a membership through the ecommerce site, and then I was notified about an hour later my money was refunded.

I learned from another source that this rifle was imported into the US in 1997. The person who imported it surmises the rifle went to Fulton's while in the UK, then was exported to Canada where it was modded to a DCRA rifle. After that, it traveled to the US. I emailed Fulton's on the off chance they have records from 50+ years ago.

If someone can shed light on why my membership was refunded, let me know, thanks.

Unsure, could be something to do with your US IP address. It shouldn’t matter really.

Seems like quite a few people have more than one DCRA rifle. Mine will share space with a Canadian 1916 LSA No 2 mk 4 with Cooey rear sight. ;)
Still can’t post pics, but I’ll keep trying.
