Right, but for the same price a rifle can be bought in 308.
This is very true, and while its not up to me to decide what rifle someone else should shoot, I can still think of many reasons why someone would want one. Perhaps they already have a .308?
I picked up a cz527 a few years ago for a girlfriend to shoot and hunt with. She was 5'1'' and 105 pounds soaking wet. It was all the rifle she needed and cared to shoot. Surprise to me how accurate this little rifle was. It could burn surplus all day long, and still keyhole commercial ammunition at 100 yards. Its a light bullet, cheap to shoot, and accurate as hell. Each to their own, right?
