Here they are. Both had stocks that had wear on them. Both had shiny bores, not 'like new' like the M84 I bought, but were in good shape. My eyes aren't that great at reading small markings anymore so I got my smartphone out. What do you guys think?

I've been thinking about this rifle... I know the same two K98's were there about 3 weeks ago when I looked, was thinking about going there tomorrow and seeing if they're still there. I liked that rifle I took the pics of, might ask for the manager and make an offer. Worse he can say is NO.
Wolverine has K98's for $640 (not sure what shape they're in), if not I'll just browse the EE for one.

Russian capture for sure. X on receiver and a few other things indicate it. BYF 42 ain't a bad code at all , not rare but a 42 made BYF would have been of good quality. I wouldn't pay $779 for it myself though.
