That’s probably the upper limit of the saum. I’m sure a quick Google search would give some real world info on what others are getting. Those are great ballistics…for the SAUM w/ 175ELD-X! Would even look better with a little Altitude added. Possibly a 1 mile combo.
Yes, I had it optimized for Berger 180’s. Running a 20 thou jump with land contact at 2.800” (ogive at 2.780). Coal is 3.520”.

I’ve run tests like that with .308 and .223, but I won’t do it with an overbore magnum. How do they do in 20 shot groups?

I have one on my hunting rifle. They're fully customizable and you'll need to finish the stock yourself or have a gun smith do it. They're probably the lightest stock out there.Wildcat stocks in Edmonton. I haven’t handled one, but they seem to have good reviews online.

In my limited knowledge you would be gaining the ability to load/ shoot the heavies(195's etc) without compromising case capacity like you would in the rem mag unless the 7 rem mag was optimized for those bullets. For hunting I honestly don't think you would gain much over the rem mag, maybe a bit of velocity with the same grain of bullet. It shines in the longer range shooting/ hunting if you want to load the long heavy bullets. I've heard that if you have a rem mag and have everything to reload etc...just stick with it. If you are wanting to get a 7mm go with the PRC. The 7prc is supposed to be a tighter tolerance chamber, not sure if that equals better, and I don't like this term but "inherent accuracy". Barrel life I would expect to be about the same give or take a couple hundred rounds, depends a lot on powder, powder charge, barrel etc... powders look to be on the slower end of the scale. H1000, staball hd, H4831SC, 7828SC, Retumbo, N570, N568, N565, RL26, RL25. Between this thread and the research I have done it seems 7prc is the way to go for a new 7mm rifle to suit long range shooting and hunting. I'm not a long range hunter but shooter yes.So this 7 PRC...... what powders are best suited for this caliber?
I am very fond of my ruger m77 mkII in 7mm rem mag and if/when I rebarrel it , what am I really gaining on the hunting end of things? I do the occasional long range shooting past 600 and out to 1000 but my long range shooting friends don't get to visit too often so it's been a while now.
I like a very accurate rifle though , so would I be gaining much by switching to a 7PRC barrel or just sticking with the trusty 7mag? Heavier loads and longer throat/bore life with the 7PRC?
It's a few questions I have after reading through this thread.
