Went to the range today and one of the empties got stuck in the barrelt without ejecting! This seems to happen all the time with surplus ammo but NEVER with hunting ammo. Its incredibly annoying and for some reason I cant seem to shoot a clip without at least one FTE. Now this round is stuck, ive tried needle nose pliers, ive tried using the cleaning rod to poke it out the other side (ramming it as hard as I can) but it wont budge! Any ideas?

Did you thoroughly clean the chamber before you sent it in?
Just because a chamber is shiny does not mean that it's "clean"
That's what she said.
The one and only time this happened to me, was the third shot after the gun came back from coating. So maybe not a dirty chamber issue? I just used a brass cleaning rod and it popped right out.
lots of these threads lately, as the original batch of 858's start to age the chambers start to get really dirty as a lot of people neglect them (I'm not suggesting the OP didn't clean his chamber but this is the usual reason for a stuck case).
Step one - Buy Scotch
Step two - Bring Scotch over
Step three - We Remove Casing
Step four - We remove scotch
.. we need to try something new though.
read his post again.
He said he sent his gun in for coating. And that he thought that a dirty chamber was "maybe" not the issue. He never said he cleaned the chamber before he sent it in.
If your not goign to clean you gun, then oil the s**t out of it then run a a patch before u shoot it.
bbb
Here is the pic of it.

Sorry. Bad ###ual inuendo joke. "That's what she said." Humor fail. I still think it's a laquer thing. My 7.62x54r stuff gets sticky sometimes too, but never had a head come off. Lucky I guess.
If this was an xcr there would be 5 people laying full blame on the quality and design of the rifle. .... Sorry I had to.... I blame poor quality control of the mass mass mass produced ammo.
Laquer thinner and a brass brush will work better than WD-40 on the laquer build up issue.Maybe try a heat gun and a metal rod with lots of wd-40, when i didnt clean my gun for like 2500 rounds i eventually got a stuck case and thats what i had to do. just brush the s**t out of the chamber after to remove all that laquer stuff that collects there.
I hone the chambers of all my VZ's. Never had a lacquer issue.
Darren, nest time you're by bring your VZ and we'll do her up.
