9-22 mags arrived

I'd like to hear some feedback from other members regarding these mags. I took 2 out to the range yesterday and had a few problems. I did read the small manual that came with the mags. It said a break in period was needed, but the behavior described below is a bit excessive.

It seems the mag is preventing the bolt from coming down all the way smoothly. When I first started using them, almost every shot wouldn't go since the round wasn't chambered properly. I had to remove the mag, then drop the bolt to push the round in all the way so it is seated properly. It seemed to get a bit better after some shots. At the start, almost every 2nd shot was jamming. Then after some more rounds, after every 5-6th shot it would jam. So it seems to be getting better with use, but it's really frustrating not being able to shoot consistently.

The mags look great though, I hope after a few more sessions they will break in and stop interfering with the bolt.

Did you try the 2nd gen?

Sounds good, thanks guys.
I'll snap a pic if required, but the lip where the round comes out smooths out after use. Not sure if this needs to be smoothed out more to work, but either way they should still cycle properly.

I was using Blazer 40 grain. My friend suggested trying high velocity Stinger to see if it helped, but same problem. When I put in a fresh mag, the first shot always worked because I dropped the bolt manually. But after ejecting and grabbing another round, it would almost always fail from there on forward until I put about 50 rounds through each. Then it was every 5-6th shot I would get a feed problem. It would chamber it, but not far in enough to get a good strike and set off the round. Just goes click.

I recently purchased one of these magazines also, and to date I'm less than impressed. Right out of the package their was excess material on the mouth of the magazine that prevented the bolt from fully closing. I sanded it down to roughly match that of my Butler Creek magazines and the magazine still won't even chamber a round or cycle properly manually (always causes a malfunction). I cycled the action manually with no rounds and the magazine inserted in my 10/22 just to try and break in the components a bit...I had high hopes for this product and this particular iteration, but it's fallen short of the mark :S

I went to the range today and are less than impressed with these mags .like another post read about breaking in mag how can't get it to feed more than a few rounds at a time .I'm lieing got 1 time to fire 15 in a row and that's all i put in the mag thinking might work better .Tried 10 round too with no luck .Mostly nose up so bad almost bent in a 45 .Then 1 nose down so bad went back in mag had to take apart to get it out .Sure they said these are gen3's .Now the ramp is damaged from jams .The Blazers are the 1's that shoot 15 in a row .These mags came in a bag not factory packaging did i get gen2' instead of gen 3's

I PM'd Hical regarding any solutions or something we can do but no reply yet.
Agreed about the rounds bending too. Some get stuck in the mag.

Mine came in a plastic case as displayed on their website.

If only they would cycle properly...the appearance and ability to be disassembled are both awesome, but a NEW magazine that doesn't function flawlessly out of the box/packaging is useless, even if you're just using the firearm for plinking. My Butler Creek steel lips have never caused a malfunction, so I use those as a benchmark (even though they're ugly as sin)...if a 10/22 magazine doesn't run as well as them, they aren't worth my time or money.
