Have a Buttler creek mag too work great in my and my freinds rifle when i first got it but the last time i had it out lots of malfunctions .Rifle gets cleaned every time out so can't say dirty gun i'm at a lose too bad Ruger advertized the BX 25 as a pistol mag restricted in Canada

Just got my sleeved versions in the mail today. I won't be able to make it out to the range til this weekend to try them.
I ordered 3. First thing I noticed was I was only able to get a max of 23 rounds in two of the mags. The other one I got 25. I'm going to leave them full for a few days in hopes to weaken the spring a bit.
Second thing, on one of the mags the feed control spring was sticking too far in, I had to bend it back in place - I am now able to push the bullets out with my finger acting like the bolt without jams. This concerns me a little though, it was causing jams.
Third - like PunisherNS said, lots of excess material, I've got bumps of plastic in the rounded part near the bullets nose. Should I file that away?
Like other people have mentioned my 3 mags also came in plastic bags that didn't seem to fit them properly, the bag wasn't able to close. Also, some people asked about using an SR-22. Mine work and fit perfectly fine, but I have a PWS T3 mag release. I believe the standard mag releases you need to dremel away some of the sleeve. No mods needed for me.

I think the mags look great. The problem is performance. Hopefully you don't get jams left and right.
I can also push bullets out with my finger easily, the problem is the bolt. If you get our symptoms, it won't push the round into the chamber all the way.

It was $30.54 to my door. Probably took a week to get here.
It's super easy to install. Here is a video how to do it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZjfAM4ytbU (among other mods you might want to consider, the auto-bolt release - so much nicer to just pull back on the bolt to release instead of pushing in the bolt lock and releasing the bolt)
Hical messaged me this morning, said to keep the bolt open when putting in a mag to break it in. Also said to use high velocity ammo to break it in some more.

Got back from my first tests with the mags. I got three of them, 2 seem to be working pretty good, and one has some issues. Tried with Remington Thunderbolt, CCI Minimag, and CCI Minimag HP (more on this one at the end).
Mag 1: Had to bend the follower spring when I got it because it stuck really far out into the middle of the clip. About 4 jams per 25 rounds. Still hasn't gotten much better.
Mag 2: This one I was able to fire off a full 25 rounds rapidly several times. Only loading 20 gave better results. This one had some issues, but has gotten better.
Mag 3: Pretty much the same as #2.
As for ammo, started with the cheap Thunderbolts. Moved onto CCI Minimags since I shoot those the most. Mags two and three weren't too picky and fed all the types of ammo I tried relatively the same. The first time I tried CCI Minimag HP, I think i got a squib round. I fired, heard a pop, and smoke come from the chamber. It did not cycle the next round. I emptied the chamber. It looked clear, but I decided to look down the barrel. Good thing, because it was about 10 inches down, stuck inside. I cleared it and stopped using the Minimag HPs. Not really sure what cause that. Maybe it didn't fully get seated into the barrel before firing? Im lucky I didn't fire another bullet down the barrel! Accuracy was not affected, because that happened earlier on in the day and was able to use Minimags with great success and tight groups.
I'll keep trying the mags, I think at least 2 of the 3 will be usable.

I couldn't get these mags to feed properly at the range this weekend. No problems with a brand-new Butler Creek mag. It looks like my problem has to do with excess material, specifically at the rounded part near the bullet nose (like Bowzy and others have mentioned). I'm gonna dremel the excess away, using the Butler Creek feed lip as reference.

I love my Nomad kit - but the only way I can be sure to get ten shots in a row with zero failures is by using the stock Ruger 10/22 rotary mag.
I have two 922 mags - both with metal pins...I guess they're gen 2 (?) (not sure how to tell)...I bought one (came with kit) about 10 months ago, and the other about 3 months ago.
One thing I have noticed, both seem to work better with the sleeves OFF - which makes me think there is some aspect of the sleeves that is interfering with the placement of the 922 mag. Without the sleeve, there is no "forward and back" rocking of the mag...with it, there is.
The failures I get are either FTE stovepipes, or else the new round gets caught up trying to enter the chamber (FTL)....sometimes even bending the bullet partly out of the casing!
It's frustrating as heck...I watched a guy with one of those Mossberg 715t's dumping mag after mag without a problem.
I still think my Archgangel kit looks and feels better...I love it...but not when it jams, lol...
I've actually been leaving it home, and taking my other .22s to the range more - waiting to here there's been a "eureka!" moment and a fix...
HiCal has been good, and sent me TWO replacement feed lips (without springs), but it still hasn't been the "fix".
I guess the next thing is to try a Butler Creek mag.
