91/59 Mosin Nagant?

I'm also opposed to the idea of a maple leaf for a soviet carbine lookalike (especially as prominent a place as a stock cartouche, and even more especially as it can be sanded off) Reciever stamps would be preferable, if you must mark the stocks then having it be some kind of inconspicuous mark near the wrist would be nice.

I just think the maple leaf suits because it's part of Marstars logo, and signifies a Canadian done modification. Are you trying to trick your buddies into thinking you have a rare Russian? I'm not worried about somebody trying to pass off an obvious bubba as a rare to somebody who presumably should know better since he is buying rare mosin carbines. One look at the fore end tells all, doubt ppl would try to fake it for 200 bucks.

We also like 91/21. We may go with "91/21M" as an indicator that they were modified by Marstar in Canada. We would stamp this on the receiver, not on the wood.

We should have our first production run ready for Monday, we will post the listing here when it is ready.

Have a great Canada Day!

Oh, I did the same thing myself!

I mean, aside from all the other non-91/59 sporterizations.

That's really tastefully done mate

Thanks! I shortened the handguards (top one is missing here, but it matches; I’m just going to use leather straps instead of barrel bands, which were always too tight), migrated the eschuteons, fixed a permanent buttpad, relocated the bolt handle, added notch in stock for said bolt handle, refinished the stock, added scope mounts (with risers), shortened the barrel and recrowned the muzzle.

Hey folks

The first rifles are finished and ready to ship
Price 550$
NOTE: We can make ~10 rifles a week, so there may be a slight delay on them if the initial demand is high

These are not your average Mosin Nagant M91/30 Rifles

These rifles have been modified to have a shorter barrel would be just around 20 inches, front sight would be removed and reinstalled, wood modified to fit metal hardware, cleaning rod shortened, stock sanded and refinished…etc

Condition of the rifle is “overall good”. Corrosion on bolt, barrel bands and receiver can be expected, the rifling on many of these Mosins are rough, and some metal parts may have pitting. Since we have no official drawings or machining jigs, every rifle will vary slightly. Barrel band does not fully connect, but still holds tight.

We have marked them all “91/21” with a punch on the receiver to make it clear they are modified 91/30 rifles and not M38 or M44 rifles.

Bayonet and pouches not included. Sold as is.

They look great! The fact that they have the Ukraine refurb stamp on the stocks would lead me to believe they're not shot out. I'll let ya'll know when mine gets here.
They'll fit great in the rifle holder under a Teton camp cot.20210605_152116.jpg
