Yes, it's a beauty, SuperCub. Most of the FN- and Sako-actioned Browning Safari rifles had nice wood (much of it Claro), but yours is better than most I've seen. Sako made the entire barreled-actions of the Vixen (.222)- and Forester (.243)-length actions with round-top form (without the Sako tapered dovetail) and shipped them to FN in Belgium for stocking. I think the stepped-barrel contour on the Browning Safaris is very attractive. They made the .222-class rifles with two different barrel contours--pencil and a little heavier (although not a true heavy barrel). I can't tell for sure from your pictures, but yours appears to be the pencil-barrel version.
It's close to a perfect walking-around varmint rifle--so much finer than what Browning is putting its name on these days.
