A$$ Hole...

And part of this response states they’ll take the money from the government in payment for collecting info on the amount of prohibited items that their dealer members have in inventory. Sounds like a sellout to me.

Our goal is to try and negotiate fair compensation for this dead inventory on behalf of these struggling dealers; given the government’s first offer of pennies on the dollar, the money being allotted by the government to the CSAAA to collect this information is being used to hire staff, purchase materials and office space required.

You'd rather the government hire their own people to do this, and then give gun stores pennies on the dollar?

Never said that, but nice try…

But that is the alternative. SOMEONE is going to get paid to collect this information. If not the CSAAA, then someone else, someone who is more beholden to the government, someone who is less knowledgeable about the Canadian gun industry.

They believe the government seizure could be fair.

If they had a single ounce of integrity they would return the money and crowdfund the loss of inventory. Two million gun owners, even if 200,000 kicked in $4 you would be well ahead of what the communists gave you to screw everyone. Judas goats.

$700k is not the budget for the guns. Its only the budget for them to consult with stores to figure out inventory numbers and values.

The cost of the guns being held by retailers is 10s of millions of dollars, minimum.

So far the Libs had no taker in helping them out on any ‘buyback’. The CSAAA gave them legitimacy - a victory for the anti.

They agreed those guns are to be taken out of circulation and not sold to civilian. It gave the Libs a boost in implementing their anti-gun agenda. They stabbed all gun owners in the back, same owner who purchased guns from them.

The CSAAA can say otherwise..they had their nose in the ass in not anticipating the ‘victory’ impact for the Libs against all gun owner's.

At a time when public perception of gun is not high, this move by the CSAAA give legitimacy to Medicino in going further.

They made a contact with the Lieberal government to help them on the cataloging of prohibited items and Mendocino is gloating on the MSN about how the gun industry is finally helping in the confiscation of prohibited firearms.

Divide and conquer is the Lieberal way and they succeeded in this step.

We’ll be next, no getting around that.

It’s my opinion the CSAAA caved.

Unless we can put ourselves first and get paid for the inventory we've been sitting on for three years, then all bets are off and we're only in it for ourselves & don't care about the rights or legally purchased firearms of our customers who've helped build our businesses AND our sport.

Well, if they were only cataloging prohibited items they wouldn't need to partner with the Liberal govt.
I imagine every business member could tell them how much dead inventory they're stuck with and it's market value.

They partnered with the Liberal govt to broker the first phase of their "fair" confiscation scheme.

Agreed. They sold out to the Liberals but there’s dissension in their ranks already as one CSAAA member has publicly objected;
