Wurd....
Turd will come back with more comprehensive and more balls out rhetoric,,,,just wait. I wager it's not even a day away.
And with one of the weakest Conservative leaders in decades....it's a slam dunk.
We need less gun legislation. I doubt this guy would have pulled off what he did in say.....Houston, TX......imho......cause everyone is armed there....and this is the reason why it makes sense to be able to lawfully protect you and family!!!
People have been killing people since the dawn of time for diffrent reasons. There is no one true answer for anything but to mitigate crimes like these would be ideal taking guns away isnt gonna do anything people will use whatever is in there power to commit horrific crimes. I for one know police are a last line of defense as was shown today. Survival books down to who has the bigger stick sometimes. I'm sorry the families had to go through that and I dont wish it upon anyone.
I think a training program for gun owners say of 5 years plus who would like to do concealed carry wouldn't be the worst idea trained by local police that could help in events like this if they are in said areas. This way the can act as a sort of buffer for these horrific acts because time is critical.
That's a fantastic fantasy.....but you couldn't be more delusional about what's about to happen.
Expand and reduce firearm restrictions ? Now ?
Who, that wants to keep their job, career, reputation would even consider doing that ?
I'm on your side bro....don't get me wrong, but there is a considerable paradigm shift about to happen.
We have had historically low voter turn outs for elections....even in tough times (WW2, Cuban crisis, 9/11 etc)
There is no way public opinion sways to the right and decreased restrictions.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Turd introduces increased restrictions on ball pean hammers and rolling pins.
I'm not saying it would happen in just speaking for a point of view that would actually hold water if we have cc for protection of others not just one self I think it's a more viable idea. Wont happen when no one even acts on the laws we have in place already that are foolish but the louder we are the more people will stop and listen. If we sit in silence and say well that's just what happens I'm just gonna say that's the same attitude that's gotten us here in the first place.
The most dangerous things that the killer had were not high-capacity magazines or "assault style" weapons. They were the car and uniform. Seriously, if I were a dangerous situation, I would never think of firing on an armed officer. I'm sure it made the RCMP hesitate too. It feels like such a betrayal of trust. It's like that nurse "Charles Cullen" who killed 40 patients. We trust people in uniform.

Resources, Clinical determination, The shear will, A degree of intellect, and Planning?! how do you legislate against that?. The whole thing could have started with a slingshot bought at Canadian tire and a ball bearing, after that level up to pistol and shotgun. Its not hard to disarm. The absolute will to do it.. now thats something else. Also that scum bag Timothy Mcveigh killed 160+ people and dented the earth with a van and fertilizer. Also Aloha snack baaaars blow up 30-40 every time with bathtub Semtex, and a 5.11 tac vest. Also in England the doctors stitch up more people than Japanese ### doll manufacturers.
I get the arguments from the anti side, I mean a Pmag can be "dropped" and the rivet falls out and then you have a 30 rounder. No need for that in normal society. Ever. Cool to have, and I love them, but really no need for a civilian to have a 30 round mag outside of competition especially in the city. I mean they are pointless in normal every day civilized not Syria living. You can't even argue the self defence thing. Also in a red dawn situation we'd be conducting
asymmetrical warfare at first, so something that holds 5 rounds would do fine. Acquiring the enemies rifles next. I guess limiting the amount of mags a person can have is middle ground.
I also get the argument of not keeping them (carbines) in residences, I mean outside of the odd cuddle what are you going to do with it?, the idea of it being legislated that I keep my carbine at the range or club I'm part of is ok with me. I mean, ranges have storage, and storing your rifle there would be a great way to support the business, the ability to take to other ranges, gun smiths, or even to take home to run drills or some new thing you learned for XYZ days, but rifles being primarily kept at ranges is a decent middle ground i feel. If shooter doesn't return it XYZ days Police are notified and fines get levied.
What I will say is this: The government can't take away my knowledge, the skill i have acquired or the ability to operate a carbine. And I will continue to develop the skill even with one of those blue mock rifles if i have to. Many patriots have trained with a crooked stick and imagination.
But a middle ground has to be found, you can't seize peoples property, and not allowing your populace to practice the art of self defence is a mistake.
And there is always the example of the UK, where, since they banned most guns, stabbings and knife related crimes have skyrocketed. Like it was said very early on, bans or further prohibitions do not take away the pure evil living within some individuals.
