A summary of 5.56 / 7.62x39 Black NR Rifle Options and Prices (Dec 2024)

I'd comment something similar on their threads but I'm now banned from commenting on sponsor threads or from using EE until May 2022 after I shared a PM from an undesireable individual being gleeful about the death of one of our club

Seem to be noticing a lot of X-95's on the EE, and people aren't over asking when it comes to price.

Yeah I noticed that too. Wonder if it's because, unlike a few months back or earlier this year when they came into stores in spurts and were sold out almost immediately, that many stores currently stock them and they are no longer selling like hotcakes. I would suspect that there may be some correlation to the election results.

Agreed, especially when it's really a 3MOA rifle

I no longer have my X-95 but that wasn't my experience at all. It had the same accuracy if not slightly better as my S&W Sport II shooting bulk ammo. If prices keep dropping on the X-95's which seem to be the case at least on the EE I might seriously consider picking one up again.

I have hope that we will see a new black rifle availible in retailers here by years end. At this point its looking like it will be the Jard, I wonder if they will stick to the $1600-$1700 price estimate.

I stand corrected then :)

They probably got their credit card bill…

Or their wife/significant other got their credit card bill.

In a moment of weakness in the summer, I made the unfortunate passing comment on the price of my X95 to my lady friend. She is not a big gun person and totally does not understand the need to have more than one gun and a few boxes of ammo. Of course, her exposure to firearms are in family and friends who own basic .22s and wood-stock plinkers. Thankfully she was understanding (more or less), though I can imagine someone whose spouse/significant other found the charge for the X95 on their financial statements/credit card statements, may not be as accepting.

I genuinely don't understand relationships where people feel the need to hide their purchases from partners. If you have a shared account talk it through in advance, if you have your own money separate from joint purchases then it's your money to spend as you will.

I've come to realize people who says this are parrots...

I'll hold my hands up here and happily admit I'm wrong if that is the case. From the videos, reviews and personal experience I have had I would say it's around 3MOA, I just don't see that as a problem.

Check out the Calibremag review here: https://calibremag.ca/tavor-x95-review/

You can clearly see they got some sub 2MOA groups, so it is possible, however I haven't (and I accept others may have) been able to get a 10 round group to be closer than further to 2MOA with affordable ammo and while 3-5 round sub-3MOA groups are of course achieveable it's not often I ever use a firearm like this for 1x 5 round group and that's it. It gets used in competition, shooting off hand etc etc.

And are you comparing this against what? Bolt action rifles?

What other rifle that you can take to the range that is 3MOA or better?

I never made it a comparison, I said what I think it is and I believe you felt otherwise so I explained my reasoning, provided a link and outlined the use case by which I see the rifle as being 3MOA.

I do personally believe that ARs (pedigree dependent) and other rifles are able to provide sub-3moa more easily than the X-95 but I really don't think it makes all that much of a difference
