I genuinely don't understand relationships where people feel the need to hide their purchases from partners. If you have a shared account talk it through in advance, if you have your own money separate from joint purchases then it's your money to spend as you will.
Agree! My wife and I have a single shared account but what makes it easy is we are so aligned on hobbies, and actually most everything. We buy dirt bikes together, street bikes together, and guns together. My wife just got her hunting license so we were shopping rifles. I noticed that a recent shipment of Tavor 7's hit the market so she was like "you should really get that" as she knows I've been watching. She bought her Tikka T3 CTR, and I bought a Tavor 7 to replace my now prohibited Stag 10. Tonight she says "We need more ammo, can you buy a few boxes". Boxes to her = 1000 rounds.![]()
How does one get banned from EE
This guy gives an informative review on some firearms and he gets ripped on? Like he said bang your heads.
I for one thank you. Don’t like it don’t read it
I think Heidi caught on.... Excerpts from her new letter.
3) Complete the ban on assault weapons in the law to include many other guns not covered in the
regulations because of certain criteria unrelated to lethality, like weapons that are of ‟modern design”
or that are not “present in large volumes in the Canadian market”. Some of these include:
WK180-C: Very recent model that is likely
not yet widespread in Canada. This
“non-restricted” rifle (similar to a
“restricted” AR-15) was the subject of a
feature article in the Globe and Mail
highlighting the tactics of gun
manufacturers aimed at designing assault
weapons so that they escape the stricter
controls for restricted rifles.
IWI Tavor: “Non-restricted” bullpup assault rifle
made in Canada by a consortium of military
manufacturers to replace the M16 and M4 used by
the Israeli army.3
SKS: Weapon designed toward the end of the Second World War and still used in war today.
According to a dealer quoted in a feature article on the subject in La Presse, “it’s the prototype of
the AK-47, it’s the same gun.” This “nonrestricted” firearm in Canada is associated
with serious public safety issues. It is
relatively inexpensive and available online
starting at around $200. This is the model
for both guns used by Bryer Schmegelsky
and Kam McLeod to kill two tourists last summer in British Columbia (one of them legally
obtained by one of the killers a few days prior). It is also the weapon that was used to kill
Constable John Davidson in Abbotsford in 2017 by a gun owner whose license had expired, and
the gun legally acquired by Afghan War Veteran Lionel Desmond just hours before murdering his
wife, daughter and mother in Nova Scotia that same year.
Derya MK12: “Non-restricted” assault weapon in
Canada that was recently introduced onto the
Canadian market (summer 2017). According to
firearms enthusiasts, it resembles the AR-15. This
weapon was just recently involved in a
confrontation in Alberta, where a man fired shots
from his residence, seriously injuring a woman
inside her neighbouring home. This was followed by
a car chase that ended in a shootout with the police that left the man dead. A police officer was
shot during the confrontation.
Norinco Type 97: A “non-restricted” semi-automatic
version of the standard assault weapon used by the
Chinese military. It is the model that Toronto Police
Chief used while lauding the ban announced on
May 1 as an example of “military assault style
weapons” that “endanger families and
communities.”
The list is missing the Non-Restricted "Sterling R18 Mk2" hybrid rifle which is a week from hitting the Canadian market. This short-stroke piston-operated rifle is a combination of the AR-180B operating system (Upper Receiver) mated to a proprietary Lower Receiver with all of the familiar AR15 ergonomic controlls. An initial review will be posted on CGN on or about 8 Nov 21. This thread refers: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/2186110-New-NR-R18MK2-from-Sterling
It's not missing, it's mentioned in the update section for this month and likewise the last couple months, the list is for in production rifles that are for sale.
So far I've seen nothing to show that exists beyond the usual company claims, a picture of a machine and that's about it. Bartok, as much as you know what you know I don't know you and so I can't put any gravitas on your words.
When it's for sale to the public I can put it up but until that time with no price, no link, no pictures, no reviews, and months of delays I can't just put it up.
The list, as much fun as it is to have a bit of banter with needs a level of integrity.
Much of this is factually wrong and not even written in English. Since when was the Tavor built in Canada? Do these people really have a higher education, because if they do they should spend more time getting their money back from their institute of higher learning and less time messing with what's in my gun safe.
