A Winchester Model 70

I picked this off the consignment rack at my local gun shop the other day. A nice unaltered Model 70 from 1949 in 270 WCF with a K3 Weaver. Except sometime over the past 74 years someone was painting something white nearby and the gun was covered with overspray. Everything. Even the scope lenses. It was priced accordingly so I bought it.
The paint came off the metal easy enough. The wood was refinished showing a light and dark side to it. Now its as good as new. So much for unaltered.

Great rifles, I have a pre-64 Featherweight in 270 and it's one of my "go to" rifles! I took a cow Elk with it last December.

Needs trigger work. 5# is as low as it will go. No nail polish here to scrape off. On the gun anyways.

Did it come with a Gatorade bottle full of spare parts, like a real rifle? Extractors, trigger springs, firing pins?

No it didn’t. A poorly done snow camo paint job though. Weaver mounts too!
