Exactly. I'm 6'2" and have no issues. The advanced handguard is not great, and I was happy to get rid of it, but the basic is pretty awesome.

Is that a 10 or 11 inch. Mine came with a 12 inch which stuck out just a little further but I sold it to go non restricted. I love the looks of them with the short barrels though.

so i have been trying to find someone with stock on a NR-ACR any suggestions? I live in Edmonton but will order from anywhere in Canada.

In my opinion you would be better off to buy a restricted rifle then convert it to non restricted. It isn't that hard and if the factory non restricted ever does show up it will be a heavy tank of a rifle which won't be much fun for anything but shooting off the bench or off a bipod.
If you go with a Dlask barrel you can convert your rifle to non restricted for under $600 and since you can buy a used ACR for just over $2000 you will have money left over for ammo or an optic.

Just my $0.02

Hey guys need some advise.
ACR was sent of to Ian to be converted to non restricted.
Stainless GM barrel 223 wylde. What twist rate should I go with. This will be my coyote gun. Mostly shooting bulk 55 grain 556. For hunting I would use a 62 grain 223 I think.

Thanks in advance

1:8 is my favorite twist rate for a rifle fed from an AR mag.
77gr is the heaviest you can load to magazine length and an 8 twist is plenty for those and anything up to them.

Christmas is a set of MBUS PRO for the ACR and a T1 for the MK18 (which mean the ACR gets the H1). :)

I have yet to get me a NR barrel for it but that is next. Than maybe a SACR, speaking of Geissele, I've been dreaming of a Geissele ACR rail lately... Maybe someone could talk him into it.

I see Dlask does the install and status change to for that price nice thanks

They did a nice job on mine - $550 total, and I was very happy with the conversion. Functions great, accuracy and reliability have been just as good as with the factory barrel. I was worried that it would feel front-heavy with the longer barrel, but don't really notice a difference.
