ACR Media and Info Thread

Remember just because you put a nr barrel doesn't mean it's not restricted. You still have change the registration I believe.

Yep, I know a verifier, so as soon as I get the barrel swapped over, that will be sorted out as well. I found a local gun smith - Barry over at Bits of Pieces, did some work for a buddy of mine so I'll give him a try.

Yeah, just saw your post, lol! I already placed the order, so I'm hoping they can sort these out for us. If not, I think cr5 mentioned that it is possible for me to do it myself with a file and a lot of patience? $hit, lol!

I used a drillpress and a round jewelers file. I've done two barrels so far and it's not overly difficult. My barrels are stainless though and Arms East uses chromolly barrels, not sure if that will make it a little harder or not.

Bits of Pieces built the 12 inch barrel my ACR came with originally and it was very well done. I'm sure they will be able to help you out.

Just remember that once it's classed non restricted you can't put the restricted length barrel back on without first re registering it as restricted.

I didn't buy one, Still waiting on more pictures from the thread on the ACR forum...

Im also thinking about modifying the factory handguard, shave off the cheese grader rails like the Colt IUR look.

Once i find a spare handguard i'll give it a try.

How much was shipping?

Had it shipped to a friend in the US. the 35$ shipping fee is ridiculous. Tried to contact them and they dont give 2 chits about Canadian orders.
