With the weight issues, why do they persist with an M4 profile barrel on a civilian semi. Is this not a bit like putting 20inch rims on a civic SR. Is it more of a marketing thing then a practical one.

It's not just the M4 profile barrel - it's a really heavy barrel, the piston assembly is heavier and then they have the ratchet system for the quick removal option. MilitaryArms did a review of the SCAR and ACR and there is absolutely no weight difference between the two frames; the difference is all between the barrel assemblies.

Checked out a restricted ACR today at my dealer felt great, nice quality for sure, very solid, need a stock like that for my XCR

Fixed I believe, 16.5" barrel, black, the price was 3025.00.

Not nearly as "front heavy" as was originally reported. Mind you, this is on the factory 16". ACR has some new lower profile barrels rumoured to be released this year; the 10.5" would be fantastic for a QCB setup.

The trigger makes a world of difference, the reset is unbelievable and quick.

I also couldn't dump my XCR fast enough and my M96's. Terrible dealings with Robinson Arms and that was enough to turn me off anything they make and sell. They lost my support. Here's a pic of my ACR.

Nice setup on your ACR. I went with the polymer handguard for mine.
