After getting your Type 81 rifle will you fo business with TI again?

Will you purchase of Tactical Imports? After this Type 81 pre-order pre-order fiasco?

Sure, why not?

The pre order took a long time but anyone that wanted to could get a refund if they asked. I wasn't even interested in them until they showed up and people started posting pics and I decided I wanted one. :)

I asked for and got a full refund the next day , would I buy from TI again? sure

To further add, that fkn shipping container should have been unloaded in a warehouse, there should have been a section of folder rifles and a section of fixed stock rifles. TI should have shipped the fkn orders to those who ordered from day one then onward. Piss poor organization all around and you basically pissed on the guys that got in early on the preorder and basically loaned you guys money so you could order the dam things... :bangHead:

That would make a lot of sense. Conduct an inventory of what was received and then start breaking up the shipment.
The only people defending their actions are those that ordered late and have either received their orders or the tracking numbers for their orders....

For the record I ordered in late August of this year, and even I would expect early purchasers (the ones who bankrolled the venture no less) to get their purchases first.

I suspect the success of future pre-order sales by T.I. is going to be tarnished by this one.

I guess you are talking about "what is the LMG version" then??

Looks just like an RPK.

Google Type 81 lmg

Two things, would need non restricted FRT (which they should start on now if it is ever going to happen) and any MG needs to be belt fed with an early enough design so you are not limited to 5 rounds

So they will not say what it is until you place an order and enough units are sold?

We won't see an lmg batch unless a military order is placed by someone that ti can piggyback on. The issue is that poly won't retool to make them unless the order is substantial - think a few thousand lmg's.

As for cost, poly takes payment at delivery, all at once. So whoever ordered the rifle's would need to pay the whole order up front. Ti could not do this with the type 81, hence the full price pre-sales to raise capital.

A larger importer could maybe do better, but it's doubtful there are 3000+ shooters in Canada wanting to buy the lmg variant.

I guess you aren't familiar with these T81 LMG then as they aren't belt fed. Just like an RPK isn't either

Should only need a child frt entry for different barrel length only which does not takes years as it's the same rifle but longer NR bbl
You definitely don't kow the lmg version then
