After getting your Type 81 rifle will you fo business with TI again?

Will you purchase of Tactical Imports? After this Type 81 pre-order pre-order fiasco?

Should only need a child frt entry for different barrel length only which does not takes years as it's the same rifle but longer NR bbl
You definitely don't kow the lmg version then

Type 81 is a rather new design for it to not be limited in magazine/belt capacity

As I said, a lmg with a capacity restriction is kind of pointless. I will wait and see how the RPD goes

Ah yes I get what you are saying now, true as an RPD with unlimited rnd belt would be amazing (if Arms east can change the ruling) but if the T81 lmg comes in at 1/3- 1/4 the price of what the RPD is I'll still grab a 81 lmg 5 rnds or not

New RPD has been submitted

Has the rcmp allowed any belt feds MG's into the country with a NR FRT that are not pre 1945 design?

Yes I know it has. Still waiting to see how it plays out

Yes they have, m60 comes to mid (limited 5 rnd) but I'm still not sure if you know that the T81 lmg is NOT belt fed. It uses the same mags as the T81 rifle.

I saw a drum, figured there may be a belt inside like the RPD. I am even less interested now

I'd be interested in a 1919 in 308 ant that is about it

What was this poll about again?

Oh ya, I remember.
Yes, I would buy from TI again, I ordered late, exchanged a couple emails with them that were replied to quickly with clear responses and my rifle was one of the early deliveries. Yes, I got lucky that mine shipped before many others and I feel for the guys that have been waiting since the beginning of the pre-order but that's how things go. Ordering early doesn't mean yours ships before anyone else, they have a list and just start at the top and work down it. Did they ever tell you that on top of your free magazine and sling and store credit that you would also receive priority shipping? Do other companies ship in the same order that sales are received in pre-orders?
They haven't wronged anyone by not shipping based on who ordered first. They haven't wronged anyone by not giving daily shipping updates over the long weekend. They haven't wronged you by not sending you a personal email updating you on the status of your order.
If you've heard nothing then assume your rifle is still in a box in the warehouse and once they get a chance to pack it up and ship it you'll receive an email with an update. If they stopped to post on CGN or FB every time a rifle got it's wings they'd be even further behind.
You've been waiting this long, another week isn't the end of the world.

I know it's not the same but if you're in the Edmonton area and need to get your hands on one PM me and we'll figure out a time you can come out to my place and you can shoot mine.

they shafted everyone on the t97 too, tons got stuck with defective units worth #### all

Even though I'm not a fan of NS at all and have avoided buying anything I know they imported for a couple years now, to be fair, the T97 is a Norinco and I don't remember anyone ever mentioning anything about a warranty or parts support. You do take your chances buying firearms from China, especially if NS is involved. When NS is involved you rely solely on the retailer to stand behind the sale. They do this by choice though so don't expect it unless it's stated up front.

No, that isn’t how ‘things go’, despite your’s and others’ repeated attempts to state otherwise. That is why a third of the respondents to this thread have stated they would outright choose not to do business with Tactical Imports going forward.

As with anything in life, from ordering a coffee at Tim Hortons, to having a service completed, etc., there are queues.
People’s expectations of a queue in this instance is perfectly normal and not unreasonable.
I would say the opposite is true of ordering late and getting one of the first out the door.
Lucky? Maybe. Preferential treatment? Hmmm. Some mis-guided attempt at ‘customer service’ to your emailed inquiries perhaps? Who knows.

That "list" of what you speak is called the pre-order list. That got shot to hell though when they had to use the sea can as their warehouse. Nice offer to shoot yours by get way! I'd probably take you up on it if I lived in the area.

I probably would because I've dealt with them before and never had a problem. I'm assuming they've overwhelmed themselves with this order . Plus I want a parts kit if and when they show up.

I'd be a lying if I said I was happy about the way the per-order was handled. That being said I'd be a hypocrite to say if they brought something unique in and I liked it I wouldn't purchase it.

Providing I don't look on the other thread looking for updates I'm fine. Drinks and that crazy thread don't go well together. I find it more annoying than entertaining

Probably, if they bring in something i want. Im not angry about the factory jerking them around. A tad irritated that they seem to be not getting units shipped out in a timely fashion, but that's how she goes. i was a week 1 pre-order, whats an extra few weeks?

You won me over with your logic! I did vote no to doing business with TI again. But I could potentialy buy off them again.
If they boght in a nucleur powered lazer gun, I would be in.
But not through a pre-order of 100%. Perhaps a 20% down payment, but I would be more likely to buy off the EE after the technology was proven.
It would suck to find out my Chineses lazer gun was faulty or didnt come with nucleur replenishment pods.

While I haven't bought a type 81 and haven't paid attention much to the fiasco regarding shipping, I have purchased other things from them and will likely do so again. I will never pre order anything. If it's not in stock, I'll go elsewhere, doesn't matter the company or item.

With the latest mag shortage fiasco I may have a answer to the question soon! We aren't done yet so let's see wait and see if anymore problems pop up that the early in preoder customers have to shoulder where the last guy's to order/first to receive don't.

That manufacturing was outsourced by China to the alpha centaurians, given their best efforts we have to understand the risks in interstellar travel by a container of such parts.
