We all know the headaches and have heard the complaints directed Tactical Imports surrounding the Type 81 preorder. If you were part of this purchase, will you purchase from TI again?
In all fairness, I do not think you can blame the delay for manufacturing on them, it is the nature of dealing with China and they did always offer a 100% money back during the pre-order and they thrwe in an extra magazine, sling and $50 stor credit fo those that waited. So I want to be fair and gauge peoples thinking.

Yup simply because I got butter ch!t to do than cry about when my order gets shipped. And they got us SKS81's that no one else has !

If there’s another gun coming in like the Type 81 that I just gotta have and they’re the only one bringing them in, yes. Other than that, no. Wasn’t a fan before, nothing’s changed.

The humanity oh the humanity ! Yes I will if I want something they have. I’ll buy anything I want F morals and stands if I want it I’m gojng to buy it. I have much less then half a F to give esp about a store. If a baby panda had to die for me to have something I want, well I guess it’s too bad for the pandas.

Sure, why not?

The pre order took a long time but anyone that wanted to could get a refund if they asked. I wasn't even interested in them until they showed up and people started posting pics and I decided I wanted one. :)

I would never do a full price pre-order with any shop, I don't need or want anything that bad. If they need to start a crowd funding to come up with the capital to buy this stuff, I ain't gonna be a part of that. I don't buy into any panic buying pressure tactics from any shop, tons of #### I can spend my money on rather then have it sit in their bank account.
That said, no issues with buying one now that they landed.

The issue for me is not the fact that we paid full pop for it (actually it is a fair bit of money) it's the lack of customer service. In this day and age there is no excuse not to utilize email and keep your customers informed with updates. The worse thing you can do to clients is just take their money and then drop them into the middle of nowhere. I placed my order back in the spring and at this point have not received a single update...nothing. Hopefully they send me an email to inform me they are shipping but I won't hold my breath.

I sure will.
When my Skorpion needed a sear they shipped it right out.
I have 2 rifles coming with some mags. They will get here when they get here.
Maybe some of the whiners should put down 20k on a new house and wait a year or two.

I've had bad experiences with some of the products TI sells in the past..... But that being said, The speedy service and good communication TI has provided me during those situations has left me with an overall good compression of the company as a whole. Basically if they offer a product I believe isn't garbage (aka nothing Turkish lol) I'll consider buying it from them.

Im with you, its not like if TI goes away nobody else will import the next cool gun. If there is money to be made someone will fill their shoes. I will not support a busienss that treat their cusotmers in such a manner that the cusotmer doesnt matter.
I found TI's communication non-existent and once the rifles arrived in Canada, their service even became worse. The shipping thing has been disasterouse with hardly any accurate communicantion. Shipping out boxes isn't that hard. It could easly be done in a week. I do not fault them for the delays relating to the Chinese factory but I do for everything else.I belive in the golden rule of business, "if we dont take care of our customers, someone else will"
My money in the future is going elsewhere.

I never say never. They worked hard getting this product into Canada and deserve full props for that. They fulfilled all updating promises along the way. I razz them with the final shipping stuff and they fully deserve the razzing and they know it. This is a learning experience and we/they'll move forward wiser.. If they are offering something I want then no question I'll buy again.

I'm with ricohman here. Sure it sucks when things are delayed and sure it's nice to get updates, but they're a credible company with a solid history and aren't running off with anyone's cash. As mentioned, refunds were an option, and they do have a phone number and an email address. Just because they aren't super vocal on cgn doesn't mean they're ghosting you all. Lastly, you didn't Have to preorder..but you got some extra gear for free if you did as compensation for your faith and early buy in.

I think this pole is a little spiteful, nonetheless I'm sure the overwhelming majority will vote positive.

I'd stand behind TI. I have several of their products with more on the way, and am grateful for the service they provide the Canadian gun community.

I don't get the question. What headache? What complains? What fiasco? There was a preorder, those who wanted paid, all delays were communicated, now rifles are here and they ship them. They answered my two emails over this period. What was the issue with other ppl again?
